Seoul set to share knowledge on industrial complex
A team of Paraguayan delegates is set to visit South Korea next week to share the Asian country’s experiences of chalking up economic growth in a short period of time.
Included in the visitors are Guaira Department Gov. Barreto Cortesi Carlos Alberto, Leite Gusinky Gustavo Alfredo, former Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Sen. Godoy Codas Sergio Daniel.
During the schedule between Feb. 21 and Feb. 27, they will visit a host of places like smart farms, the New Village Movement institute, and National Assembly.
Launched in 1970, the New Village Movement was designed to help improve infrastructure in rural South Korea by building modern facilities.
In particular, the Paraguayan team strives to learn South Korea’s know-how in the fast transition from a predominantly agrarian economy to an industrialized country.
Specifically, Paraguay strives to provide an institutional framework by developing industrial parks under its 2030 National Development Plan.
The South Korean government has taken part in the initiative together with World Bank, Inter-America Development Bank, and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency.
